Jackye Crane Hansen, President
Jackye spent her school years between school in New Orleans and weekends and summers on the MS gulf coast in Waveland. Having bled purple and gold from birth, Jackye is a very proud graduate from LSU with a BS in Construction Management – a degree in which Jackye’s father Jimmy (founder of Crane Builders in 1980) was an inaugural student and graduate. Upon graduation, Jackye joined her father at Crane Builders, LLC in Waveland, later purchasing the company.
Chris Hansen, Project Manager & Sales Chris is the owner and operator of Hansen Custom Painting, LLC and a project manager at Crane Builders, LLC. With a degree in business, Chris built a contracting business in the Myrtle Beach, SC area specializing in painting, drywall, tile, and finishes on commercial projects. Chris later moved from SC to MS, where Jackye & Chris then met through work, and were married in 2016. The two now manage Crane Builders together, naturally using Hansen Custom Painting for all of their painting, drywall, and miscellaneous needs.
Taylor Favre, Accounts Manager
A native to Bay St. Louis, Taylor is an Ole Miss and USM alum running the financial operation of Crane Builders. Taylor oversees the office operations, from keeping the books, to updating the showroom sample boards. Taylor keeps everything (and everyone) in check.
Chad, Superintendent and Master Carpenter
Another second generation Crane Builder like Jackye, Chad is a field superintendent and master carpenter. He has knowledge and skills beyond his title. Historical home restorations, and managing their surprises and complications, are his specialties.

Our logo prominently features Ella, our official company mascot. We’re dog people and it shows! At Crane, we strive to be like Ella…keenly attentive to details, dependable and loyal to a fault.
Why “Best in Show”? Our tagline is a play on words as an ode to our mascot. Since branching out to the MS Gulf Coast in 1986, Crane Builders, LLC has built many “best in show” gems.
